But when I use it for complex documents, it's SO much faster than genuine office, I more than make up the time from other areas that adding this relatively minor step to my workflow is just not a deal-breaker. My problems with free office suite software is that it has not been able to import anything but the most simple documents made in real office or iWork apps. Second is that both NeoOffice and have a minor bug related to page numbering in documents created in. Sounds like Neooffice is still the way to go for now. While based on OpenOffice, they are dedicated to making it look and run like a Mac application. Apple offers a reasonably priced office suite in iWork ’09. Perhaps things have changed but that's how it was awhile back. I thought Pages was ok but it had no way to default to the msoffice format.
